This is one of those questions at some point every Christian parent has to confront. Are we rejecting God’s commands if we don’t spank? Is spanking recommended by the Bible as wise parenting? Isn’t causing pain a part of biblical child discipline? These are all good questions and they need thoughtful answers from a Christian perspective.
In this workshop, theology professor Dr. David Erickson will be answering all of these questions. Taking in both a broad view of Christian teaching about parenting and deeper questions about the interpretation of particular Bible verses, this workshop will equip you with the information you need to answer questions about spanking and the Bible.

THIS IS A REPLAY OF A LIVE WEBINAR.

        DR. DAVID ERICKSON
David longs to see God’s people recognize that how we live out our faith imparts theology to others. Nothing brings this into sharper focus than parenting as our daily lives constantly disciple those who know us most closely. David has previously served as a pastor, but since 2009 he has been equipping pastors, missionaries, and lay leaders as a professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at a Baptist seminary. He holds a Ph.D. in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from BMA Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Central Baptist College.
